in support of Living Yoga

What is Yogathon?

Yogathon invites folx near and far to come together in support of Living Yoga's trauma-informed yoga programs. Every year, for the entire month of April, you can expect daily benefit classes held at partnering yoga studios, educational events, social gatherings, and peer-to-peer fundraising to promote the many physical, emotional, and psychological benefits of yoga, while working to make these benefits equitably accessible to all.

**This month-long fundraising campaign makes up nearly 15% of Living Yoga’s budget. It is greatly important to our ability to bring trauma-informed yoga to corrections and reentry, addiction treatment and recovery, and community health programs throughout our community.

This year, our goal is to raise $45,000 to support our trauma-informed yoga programs in corrections and reentry, addiction treatment and recovery, and community health programs.

What is Living Yoga?

Living Yoga is a Portland-based non-profit who's mission is to fostering healing and resilience through trauma-informed yoga..  LY provides trauma-informed services and resiliency training in order to ensure all individuals have the tools to heal from the impacts of trauma, prevent re-traumatization, and realize their full potential.

We do this by training volunteers to provide trauma-informed yoga classes in corrections and reentry, addiction and recovery, and community health; and by training community members and care providers to recognize and respond to symptoms of trauma.

"For I never tire of hearing your life-giving, honey sweet words." -- Bhagavad Gita

Honey of the Heart is an opportunity to center into your Self, and re-align your internal compass towards that which is loving, compassionate, abundant, and truly & deeply healing. We'll sweat and stretch, and hopefully you'll walk away with something good for your heart.

This is an all-levels class.  Suggested donation is $15-20, and 100% of the proceeds go to support Living Yoga.

If you can't make it to the event itself, but still want to support this organization, then consider making a donation at any level.
