A Jungle Immersion
March 29 - April 5, 2020
Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica
There comes a time, when we’re no longer content to stay in our comfort zones.
There comes a place in our hearts where we ache for something greater than what we’ve always felt.
There comes a moment, when the way we’ve been taught to live and be in the world no longer fits with who we are becoming.
Do you feel it?
When we enter the jungle, we wander beyond the strictures and the boundaries we’ve come to know. In the jungle, we become wild - - we stand upon sacred land, and we are held by a Sacred Mother. To enter the jungle is to enter a great Mystery; a mystery that only the Jungle Mother can reveal. Everything that is false or misaligned will be unveiled so that it can burn away. And what remains after the fire is nothing short of real, raw, and true.
Can you feel her?
Friends, we are about to embark on a journey, a personal journey toward the heart of our own inner warrior. This journey will take courage, but we will be right by your side. Along with the guidance of Kali (the fierce destroyer); Durga (the loving mother); and Saraswati (the creative muse), we will slay our inner demons, traverse new paths in our hearts, nurture and nourish ourselves and one another, and come out on the other side singing, dancing, and creating a new plan, a new path, and a new song to send us back home, refreshed and enlivened.
Are you with us? Are you ready to enter your own mystery? Are you ready for the jungle to transform you?

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does the pricing include airfare?
A: No, the price points listed above do not include airfare, but they do include everything else: your stay at OM, two meals per day, all the yoga, meditation, and ceremony programming, as well as the kirtan and mala-making workshop.
Q: Where in Costa Rica should I fly into?
A: Book your flights in and out of San Jose (SJO).
Q: How long is the shuttle from the airport to Puerto Viejo?
A: The shuttle ride will take about 5 hours. Yes, you read that right. The airport is in the center of the country and our magical jungle location is located all the way on the Caribbean side of the country. But I promise you, it's well worth the time investment.
Q: What should I expect in terms of bugs and jungle wildlife?
A: Haha, yes, well, our destination is indeed a jungle in all senses of the word. Meaning, it's vibrant, alive, enlivening, and ..., filled with other life forms other than humans. There are bugs... and lizards... and beautiful birds... and on some days the monkeys show up. Expect to see large insects, and if that makes the heart palpitate, and sweat beads form, then it's either a chance to practice some centering breath, haha ... or... this may not be the retreat experience for you. You know you best.
Q: Is all the yoga, meditation, and other programming mandatory?
A: Mandatory? No, you're definitely free to join in or abstain from any part of the retreat experience that feels right for you. But you'll receive the maximum benefit of the programming and our curriculum if you participate in most (or all) of the group activities.
Q: Will there be internet access where we're staying?
A: Yes! There is internet access in the lobby of the retreat center, but not in the cabanas. Although, since this is the jungle there are moments when a midday tropical rain burst will temporarily knock out the wifi. Not to worry. Take these moments as an opportunity to have some screen-free time in nature. Or.. if there's an urgent situation where internet access is needed, the town center is only a 5 minute walk away with several internet cafes, coffee shops, etc. for you to plug back in.
Q: Will I have free time to take space away from the group and do my own thing?
A: Absolutely. We've build a ton of free time into each day that we're in Puerto Viejo. So you'll have a chance to kick off your sandals and relax on any variety of outstanding playas (beaches) that the town has to offer, take a bike ride, sign up for a tour of the Sloth Sanctuary or Jaguar Rescue Center, or simply walk around town and do a little shopping.
